Thanks guys!
This time, two unusual machines showed up, one a famous model, the other totally obscure. The big Beaulieu proved to be a quiet runner with a killer Schneider lens on it:
Now for the obscure: hands in the air, has anyone ever heard of...the Synchronex Radiant???
Talk about a "designer look"...as a musician, I love one touch here: the third square knob, the tone control, has "low" and "high" musical notes as symbols for "bass" and "treble":
As always, one table held no film, only memories... Thanks again, John, for bringing us all together:
The conversations never ended. Stories about rare overseas editions, theatres open and closed, vinegar syndrome...you name it, it most likely was talked about:
Meanwhile, the films kept rolling, including this beauty of a 'scope print:
"I DON'T CARE WHAT IS CHASING ME, JUST GET ME OUT OF THIS EASTMAN PRINT!!!":
...still have a bit more to go.
Claus.

Gary Crawford's line-up. He had, as usual, very nice prints with him:
This old favorite has been on Doug's table for so long it's become part of the decor...it would be like something was missing if it ever got sold :
How many film gatherings have had IMAX film? (well, ok, nobody brought the projector for it...):
Doug, Gary and I had gone to dinner, having arrived Friday night. The waitress was very nice and we mentioned we were film collectors. She asked what we did for a living and seemed sceptical at the answers...when our split bill came, this is what it said:
"Actor"...that's Gary "Cameraman"...Doug "Other Odd Collector"....well, there's only one other person in the group, right?
With Saturday night came the big dinner. The Boathouse restaurant was very good; I can personally vouch for the fresh scallops and the steak, and there wasn't a dull moment:
Just a few more to wrap it up....
Claus.

A few closing comments and pictures.
It seems some folks think this is "too small" an event to get to, or that the location is not good enough.
Consider this: the very charm of it is that it is not a mega-event in a big city hotel, but that it is set on the Jersey shore in a funky, fun area, and right on the ocean, beautiful beach and all.
I don't think anyone who has come to CineSea has walked away disappointed. The friendly feeling, the 50/60es atmosphere of Wildwood...it's just very enjoyable. A special mention to the lovely Simone who runs the front desk at the Ocean Holiday Resort. With her spirit and great stories, she always kicks us off to a great start when we arrive.
A few last pics that just drive home why we come: the love of film. The ability of film to make us sad, happy, intense...the power and beauty of the medium:
Thank you for following this long thread; I hope some of what you saw might influence your travel plans in the spring of 2013
A final view, a typical one; the last evening sunlight hitting the Morey's Pier amusement park down the road:
See you at CineSea.
Claus.
