I have a Minolta Sound 6000 super 8 projector that I've had intermittent problems with since not long picking it up a few years ago. The problem is the advance forward/reverse switch which sometimes powers the motor on and other times not. The lamp continues to stay on when the switch is on so the danger is the machine stopping while the lamps stay on and burning a frame of the film. I used to fiddle with the switch back and forth to get it going but now the motor hardly advances at all. Seems to be a loose connection somewhere but can't figure it out. The problem was mainly when the switch is in the forward setting but not so much in reverse. Can't find any info on this machine so hopefully someone out there may know a fix. I'm hoping it's something simpler than having to replace the forward/reverse switch.
