Happened to be looking on E\bay and stumbled across an 8MM Sound
Cine Camera for sale. I never seen an 8MM sound camera before!

Curiosity got the better of me and i wanted to know more about this camera,so i sent an enquiry to the seller.
He replied back to me and included a U\Tube Video link that
has all the info on this rare bird (sorry cine camera)

The Fairchild Company in America introduced in the early 1960's a range of Cinephonic cameras. They used pre-striped Standard 8 film. The amplifier was transistorised and the sound separation was 56 frames. The entire system was run by a rechargeable 12-volt nickel-cadmium battery that was reputed to shoot and record 800ft of film without being recharged.

The camera took 8mm film in 100ft reels which gave five and a half minutes shooting at a speed of 24fps.

Really interesting stuff I had no idea ni-cads went that far back. I really like Kerry's Youtube video (he has a great one on the Fisher Price video camcorder that ran on audio cassettes

Fairchild also introduced in early 1965 , its 200 ft standard 8mm sound camera that used the Hall Sensor recording system which I believe Kodak bought the patent for, since they incorporated it in their first super 8 sound cameras in 74 or late 73? All super 8 sound cameras incorporated this sound recording system.
I know the 200ft 8mm roll sound camera was introduced at Photokina but I doubt if it ever went into production with the advent of Super 8 (nice that Kodak didn't give them the heads up). I remember the photos of it were quite impressive.

Kerry Decker's videos are all great. Kerry owned a photo shop here in Orlando and sold me my first S8 sound projector, a Eumig 802, back in 1975. His enthusiasm for 8mm cine was infectious, and he regulary themed his 'Nightlife' TV program, about film and film equipment. Kerry was a well known local celebrity here in Orlando. Very sadly he passed away, much to early, 4 years ago.
