I just picked up a very nice Sankyo Sound 600 projector. It only needed a new motor belt and a lamp. In testing it at 24fps on a sound cartoon I noticed it was running too slow. I've read where this projector has a speed adjustment for 24fps and 18fps. I think I have located the pots to adjust (see arrows below), but I was hoping that someone who has this machine or knows about it can verify these are the speed adjustments...if not where are they? If this IS correct then....which one is for 24fps?

those are it Janice, make sure you use a wooden stick or someting that is non-metal if you have any kibob sticks wittle them into a screw driver size or you may short out something I adjusted mine while playing a film, if I remember one is for 18 and the other is for 24 you will be able to tell once you tweak them if you play a film with music that helps I used little rascals theme to tune mine. Hope that helps

Jim is correct. Be sure to use a shaved wooden stick or a shaved plastic item to fit the slot and turn SLOWLY to get the right speed.

Thanks to both Jim and John...it was a success. It seems to be running at a more correct speed...at least the audio sounds ok.

Here's a couple of pics of what I did in case someone else needs to do this.

I removed the back cover and disconnected the speaker wires. I then connected a small external speaker to the audio out jack. This gave me more room without having to deal with the cover.

I loaded a 24fps film with talking...and using a wooden letter opener adjusted the lower pot.

Nice machine Janice.
I have a parts only 600 if you ever need anything. Although, I have stripped the rollers and a few other odds and ends for my 800 and some odd projects.

BTW. Has anybody had to replace the large belt that goes from the supply reel to the take-up reel. Mine appears very loose...but still seems to work. If I had to replace it I'm not sure how that would be done.
