Hi everyone! I am moving and am looking to sell my two Super 8 projectors (Elmo ST1200 & Eumig Mark S 802) and my entire film collection: Animal House, Star Wars, Coma, Sugarland Express, plus more.

I need some help pricing these items. They have been in storage for almost 30 years and are in excellent condition.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Larry

Hi Larry,

You are in collector forum, then we tend to be picky. We cannot price items without any description of projector condition, i.e working or not working, box or no box, cosmetically mint or busted, belt is gooing or good, bulb is bright or dim or dead.

For films: are their colors good or faded, box or no box, splices? scratches? etc, etc

Then we can price them.

Hi Larry!

I live in Atlanta (North burbs) and would love to check out some of your films! Can you email me a list, if not I'm happy to come over and browse! [Big Grin]

(By browse I mean hopefully buy)

I'd also be happy to help you with any pricing.I've been collecting (buying & selling)8mm since 1975 from the ripe old age of ten!

I reiterate what was said earlier. You do have some very interesting titles on there, but without a description of the condition of the titles, (color, scratched or not scratched), then it is VERY hard to assess prices.

You stated then to have been instorage for over thrity years. What kind of storage, In a nice cool basement for 30 years or an outdoor storage shed.

I hope my questions don't sound too invasive, it's just that these are the kind of question that die hard collectors would ask, as it helps a person to, without a great description, potentially assess condition based upon storage.

osi:

all of the films have been stored indoors in boxes in relatively cool areas since 1984. i just kept moving them with me. i am the first owner of all of them and while i haven't watched them all or any all of the way through since then, i never had an issues with any scratched prints.

ALL of the titles are color EXCEPT for the Paper Moon trailer.
