Hi,

I was transferring some underexposed super 8 film on my Elmo TRV-S8 and the digitized file came out pretty dark. I thought the file was dark because the available source in the original footage was almost absent considering it was in a low lit dance hall.

A colleague of mine suggested that a brighter bulb would help brighten the footage even though the aperture of the lens was opened up to receive the most light that it could.

Does anyone know if a brighter bulb would help underexposed footage even though the film is pretty dense itself due to the fact the it was shot in a low light setting?

Thank you
