Hello forum members and Happy new year. I've recently ordered a pedro sync pulse box but haven't recieved it yet. While I do have a couple of super 8 cameras that I plan on using with it I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a bolex repair place that could add a flash sync socket to my bolex H16 or to my H8 or to one of a few different "coat pocket" 8mm models I've got. All are spring wound cameras, but I thought it would be really cool to be able to shoot sync sound with one or more of them. Thanks !!!

I have a Beaulieu MR8 that has a PC flash socket built in. You can see it on the front of the camera in the linked photo below. I'm not sure if this was added or if it came from the factory that way. This is a spring wound camera. I have never seen another one with a flash socket. I assumed it was for doing animation shooting single frame. I did hook a camera flash to it and it did work. Is it normal to use it for sound sync?
You could try Jean-Louis Seguin (bolextech@gmail.com)he's in Montreal, Canada. If you do a Google search I know there used to be at least one place in the US that serviced Bolex cameras but I think they only worked on the H16.
