Hello, sometimes i have some projectors of 8mm or super 8 that start to tremble the film, somebody know what can be the problem?

Hi Rui, shaky or "trembling" film can be caused by different things. What make/model projectors are you talking about? It can also be caused by dry and/or damaged film....

that problem was with different projectors, in this last case was in a Naigai Dual Eight and in a Eumig S 932 Supersound. You remember me, that i didnīt make a test in another projector with the same film. I will try to see if that is the problem. Thanks!

I get the same thing sometimes with my CHINONs. I always thought it was the mechanics of the projector giving way after so many years. Luckily it's not yet so bad that it detracts from anyone enjoying a film. I just keep in mind that my projectors are all 40+ years old.

Hi. If you mean by tremble as shaking of the picture it will probably be due to old badly shrunken acetate films in need of a good film lubricant applying carefully to it. Once this has been applied it will help stable the projected image. Sometimes it can also be poor film slitting or even bad punching of the sprocket holes causing the film to register badly in the projector gate as not all prints were manufactured perfectly and some were produced on cheap film stock.

hi1 RUI,it,s nice to got a fella from portugal,well to lubrificate,i personaly i don,t use a secret formula,i do use
-filmguard,there,s also a few more,but this,s great,i use it in all my prints,the fims running very smoth on the projectores.
