So, going through my film stuff I realized I still have all 3 super 8 cameras I ever shot film with.
Alas only the Bell and Howell is still operating properly and still does an amazing job considering it's a pretty basic camera.
The Hanimex was the one my parents shot all are home movies with in the sixties and seventies. In the eighties I continued to use it to shoot my 8mm monster epics!
Working or not I don't think I could ever get rid of them.

Nice cameras... full of memories I would certainly hang on to them. [Smile]

Always keep them Terry. Your post fetch back memories of my first Super 8 camera purchased in the mid 70’s via Exchange & Mart. Although I had been using Std 8 it was nice to upgrade to super but the plasticated camera was not brilliant although my first couple of story films still survive which we as a group of boys made with it. Sadly the camera went after a further upgrade although some years later I found the same plasticated (I invented that word) version. Nice to reminisce again about our first super 8 cine camera.

I will be keeping them! Someday when I have a home theater built they will go on display. The bell and Howell will be back in action soon as I have a cartridge of Ektachrome 100D in the freezer.
I wish the Canon was working - something wrong with the optics - everything is blurry - nice to look at anyway.

Cheers
