A friend and neighbor of mine, Peter Conheim, has a 35mm film setup in his basement for 17 people here on the West Coast and got written up on PBS with the title-The Projectionist.

Peter is a knowledgable guy so I recommend for the content about projecting but also the discussion about digital vs film presentation with some interesting views. The article said a lot in short time I thought.
Recently he showed a beautiful technicolor print of War of the Worlds
and started three weeks ago a film series he calls-"The Inexplicables". In 35mm (the one I was lucky(?) enough to go to) was the weirder than weird Norman Mailers-Tough Guys Don't Dance with Ryan O'Neill. I enjoyed it. Two weeks ago it was Joseph Losey's The Secret Ceremony. This week he's showing a film based on Norman Mailers, An American Dream-"See You In Hell, Darling" On the invite for this film series he says, "Check your good taste meters at the door."
