Greetings from Finland.

I got broken ELMO GS-1200 M&O... I have got the buttons to work but there is problems with film loading.
It seems that at least one spring is missing. See the attached photo.

Will somebody who owns similar machine take a picture of that part and send it so I can seach for similar spring. Or how should that part work. Thanks.

Hello!

I don't have a GS but I have an ST 1200 M/O and I took a picture of the same area. The film path on these are very similar. Maybe this can help until someone with the same unit can chime in.

Thanks for the photo. Seems to be a little bit different design... not sure if that "half hidden screw hole" in my gs-1200 is for the spring screw... hmm. No room enough (for my DIY spring made out of a big safety pin [Smile] . I tried quick&dirty fix.. I put a piece of a foam under that part and then the wheel catch the film ok.

In the first series the spring is not a spring but a "fork spring".
In the second it's a real spring, setted up between the guide and the keyboard
Here a photo of a first series -

Hello Jarmo,If this is a fist series model you have a missing sping( spring part number P413392)you would also need a washer and screw. I do not know where you would be able to get this part over there. Maybe some one in the u.k. can help you ,if not there is a lad in the U.S.A who may be able to .Alex.

Thanks for the info... anyway I still cannot understand where to put fork spring or basic spring... There is no picture about that spring part in the service manual I downloaded. Hope somebody can send a photo with arrow to show where to put spring.

My Elmo's (GS-1200 M&O) serial is 830859 and in motor label is printed 28Sep81HA... late 1981 model?

Give a look to my photo. The fork is hidden behind the gear.
Anyway I'll get an other photo...

Many thanks. Now I see... my machine has only a screw hole left.
Luckily no electronic sensor and it seems to be quite an easy fix to do. Anyway I wonder how it is possible that this part has been looosen enough to be missing...

BTW. I shook the machine and hear that something is loose inside... no screw, washer or spring but found this little metal tube... no idea what it is and from where... maybe another part is also missing [Frown]
