Good results. However, it does have a flicker to it. Is this a real time transfer? If so, what was the frames per second rate?

The flicker speed would be indicative of a 3-blade shutter projector running at 18 fps.

Yes. I just wondered if Amund was aware of this. If a variable speed projector is used, he can increase the speed to 20 FPS to eliminate the flicker.

In Europe, we reduce the speed to 16.67 fps.

Yes. Europe is PAL. USA is NTSC.

Well Europe was 625/50 PAL and USA 525/60 NTSC, Britain is now 50 FPS digital so not really PAL as no subcarrier.

The BBC did do test colour transmissions in the 1950's - they were 405/50 NTSC!!!!!

Perhaps a 5 bladed shutter at 24fps would eliminate the flicker.

No, that will only work where mains is 60hZ. But if the shutter is two-blade, 25 fps will be OK.
