A recent posting about Mountain Films reminded me that I bought several films from Collectors Club in the early 1980s. Later, I got into video and, after my projector blew up, they were consigned to a cupboard. I found Ebay in 2001 when times were hard and sold most of the Collectors Club films apart from Cops, Easy Street and The Great Train Robbery (1903), all good prints. Looking back at what I sold and for how much brings a tear to my eye. Prices included postage!
Never Weaken - £12.88
Two Tars (400') - £18.50
Battleship Potomkin (5 x 200') - £28.75
Shoulder Arms (faded print) - £8.25
Conquest of the Pole - £8.99
The Tramp (400') - £10
Trip to the Moon - £17.63
Alice's Egg Plant - £11.01
We all make mistakes.
