Hello! I have two Silma 250S projectors, one with a 12V 100W halogen lamp and the other with 12V 100W FCR lamp (with built-in mirror). I don't see any remarcable differences in picture image, but is there an advantage of one of the two types, or other diffences one should know of (lifetime,...)? Thanks!!

The EFP (A1/231) with its own reflector has the advantage that when you replace the lamp you also get a new reflector. With the FCR (A1/215) when you replace the lamp you will still be using the projector's own reflector once again. But, if you are lucky, the reflector should, in fact, last a long time. But there's always an if!

The mirror being in the same draught from the fan as the lamp should not really need cleaning. It must never be touched with bare hands/fingers. The careful use of a blower brush might be acceptable, but really should not be necessary. The silvering of a mirror doesn't always last and may eventually begin to crack. If this happens, do not touch it anyway as it will make it worse.
