Hello, I am new here and know nothing about real film. I got some Chinese 8.75mm film reels from a friend and I would like to try editing them. I don't know if I can use the splicers for 8mm, Super 8 and 16mm. Or can the viewers for the dual 8mm be used to view the 8.75mm film ? I know my questions seem stupid but I am really eager to edit these films. Maybe I can digitalize these films and then edit them on computer, are there any suitable scanner for this format? If I can, I would prefer editing it manuelly, it's a great chance for me to learn about film. Thanks a lot ! About 8.75mm format, there are discussions on your forum: http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=000133

Unfortunately that odd 8.75 seems too dimensionally different than Super8. The perforation shape seems identical, but that's it.
Might need its own set of equipments to handle it.
