You don't read a lot about the Braun Visacustic 2000. The specs look like that of the Bauer T610. Who have experienced both and can tell about it?

Matthieu, I had the 1000, it was a very gentle machine with film. The 2000 can be crystal sync'd to lay down dvd audio on to Super 8 prints. I currently have the Bauer T610 and it is the quietest projector I have ever owned. It is also very gentle on film and has a bright, steady picture. It doesn't have pulse sync built in, however it is a steady-running machine and I understand some people have successfully rerecorded 200-400ft at at a time with minimal loss of sync.

Is the picture brighter on the Bauer T610? Was focussing on the Braun indeed more pleassant, because of the backwards sprung pressure plate on the Braun, so you had to focus only once?

Sharpness is great from corner to corner with the Visacustic due to the pressure plate design. Much better than Bauer. On the contrary, the Bauer is the most quiet projector you'll find.

Can the Braun Visacustic 2000 take 1200"/360m reels? Super8wiki was unsure about this. The 1000 can only take 180m/600".
