I have noticed that when I send my film to Dwayne's for processing it now comes back with polyester leader. I use cement splices so the first thing I do is replace it. I have a good stock of leader, probably enough to last the rest of my life so I'm not going to worry about it.

Grahame's leaders are excellent quality in all guages - I think he supplies Polyester only now - if you were looking for Standard 8mm (Regular 8mm) acetate leader I still have this bulk lot for sale I put up on the forums last year:
Even more of a bargain seeing the current prices of acetate leader on Ebay in the first post. My leader is the same type as would have been sold by Larry at LGP Cine, so not 'Kodak White' but nice and flat, not cupped or curled, and feeds smoothly through the gate.

In the US, Kodak increased 16mm leader prices only on Feb 15 2018 from $90/1000ft to $120/1000ft, but made no change for 8mm, Super-8 or 35mm acetate leaders. The US pricing for 8mm and Super-8 remains $70/1000ft ($3.50 per 50ft), so I don't know why sellers that are breaking up 1000ft rolls are bumping their prices... https://www.kodak.com/us/en/motion/Products/Product_Information/index.htm
£17.99 (~$25.62usd) seems like an unethical markup unless there is a huge difference in US vs UK Kodak pricing.
