Can anyone give me a recommendation of a model/brand of a Super 8 editor with 800ft capacity? I use my Goko A-201 for rewinding Super 8 films because I like the tight wind I can achieve manually, but its little plastic mechanisms are not very good at keeping the spools perpendicular and parallel to each other. (I also regularly use the Goko to apply FG to films.)

Is there a cheapish model that's easy to find that has more robust and better engineered winding handles and spindles?

I recently bought a Goko MM-1.
It is electrical and manual to use and more sturdy than my former Goko 201.
It can also hold 1200ft reels.
Large screen 10x14 or so with no flicker.
I think my model is kinda special, because it has a regular G4 halogeen 6V 10W 200Lm lamp.
Maybe the former owner replaced the lampholder, but has done a remarkeble job since it looks kinda original.

Bought mine for €10, saw them all under the €25

Thanks, Matthieu, I'll look out for an MM-1. I'm not worried about the lamp so much, as I really just need the good alignment of the spindles for rewinding and film cleaning.

That can be done motorized than and you can easily set the speed stepless

The ELMO viewer/editor is very good. I like how the "screen" on it is not what I call the "beaded" type screen, (do you folks know what I'm talking about?), but is a more "flat viewing screen. That "beaded screen on other editors gets in the way of the image. I know that the ELMO is NOT the only one with a nice view, but it is a good editor.

Do you maen the screen is not a Fresnel lens, perhaps?
