Hi everyone ive just purchased a SS1200 projector from Mexico and need to alter the voltage which is easy to do but im unsure wether to set it to 220v or 250v wondered if anyone could help im in the u.k. Thanks Russ

It is Always adviced to st the projector on a higher voltage than the one you get at home. When 220 volts was the norm (it's now 230) in Europe, projectors came from the factory set at 240 volts. This way, you protect the bulb and extend its life. If for a specific show you need extra light, you can always set the projector on 220 vols for a limited time.

Ok thanks ill set it to 250v as there isnt a 240v option and give it a try thanks foryour help.Russ

I wouldn't suggest setting it to 220 volts in the UK.
There is a two position High/Low lamp switch just below the built-in screen. As the Chinon SS1200 has a 150 watt lamp it will work quite happily on the Low setting. For a bigger screen you can always switch to Full.

Well folks set the voltage to 250 had a quick look around the controls then ran the dirty dozen 400ft through it and must say im very impressed the picture is lovely ans clear and the sound is excellentthe projector runs really well.Russ

There also was a ss1000 model! That looked like the ss1200 model! They were nice machines!
