A long time a go an HD microscope would be very expensive but nowadays we can get for less than $50:

This microscope can be hooked up to mobile phone so we can get the still images.

So my wild idea, would that be possible to make a kind of transfer machine using the same technology, so we can have HD quality image for 8mm tansfer machine?
