Nothing as of yet, so I thought I would give this another go.

I know quite a few of these machines had been put in a corner only to gather dust prior to Edwin and his 3D printer due to the cam wear issues so here's hoping one of then can be of some use in the future as a Donor.

Better that way than thrown away as some machines appear to be now.

hi Andrew
I know how much you love the 610,and as you know,i am a Bauer fan too.i think the t60 royal and 502 I have almost as good as any 600 series, and they tend to be cheaper to buy. so my plan,if I cant fix a problem on either of my machines would be to replace them.
I think I paid about £50 each on e bay for each one.
Having said that, Kevin Brown has just serviced the t60, the front pressure plate on the gate had a crack on its plastic arm,so he made up a metal bracket to fix this, very impressive, and all for reasonable cost. That fixed the sideways judder I was getting on some films.I didn't know of Kevin until you mentioned him,and for me,he isn't too far away,so I drove there to save the dreaded couriers!

Great stuff David!

Yes I know a lot of the other models can be purchased for considerably less, but I have invested heavily in the T610's over the recent years as I like to be able to do many Stereo recordings on prints I have that I feel I can improve.

I have found this particular model both the very best to run shorter films on in the home environment as well as the best recording machine I have ever used.

The Beaulieu is my overall favourite and is the king of kings in my book for showing full features in one pass but the Bauer is nice quick solution for small film screenings and the sound from them is just as good.

I have purchased many of the electro & mechanical spares I am ever likely to need for the two 610's I have. I also have spare heads etc just looking now for any circuit boards that may be out there on discarded mechanically failed machines.

Kinotechnik Rinser used to be great for supplying just these type of spare parts but sadly they appear now to be no longer in business as their website closed recently.
