Hey guys, do you LOVE singing cowbows?
You do?
Well then, I have a classic Roy Rogers Western, with his reliable sidekick, Gabby Hayes ...
The Saga of Death Valley!!
The film came out in 1939, when Roy Rogers was at his cinematic peak! This film also stars a few other well knwon character actors ...
McDonald Carey (That announcer voice that says ... "Like sand in an hourglass; so are the days of our lives." he did a lot of other stuff too!)
Doris Day! A very young Doris day, being that it was filmed in 1939, (perhaps as early as 1938!)
Frank Thomas AND Jack Ingram! (Jack Ingram was a famous character actor from both radio and film!)
The film is a whopping 59 minutes long, which is it's original run time, (Awful darn short film!), and it is on 3X400ft reels, rather full, and since each reel can fit up to 21 or more minutes of magnetic sound film, you get the whole enchilada!
Enchilada translates as whole movie!
The film stock says "3S" so, I believe, this is probably Agfa B/W stock or 3M, but usually they mark it 3M, therefore, it is no doubt Agfa. Perhaps that is why it looks so good.
The film is 40.00 dollars, (not including shipping). By the way, very nice contrast to this print, great grey tones. Very nice mono sound and condition of the actual film is very nice.
HI HO TRIGGER!!!
Ya ya ya you said it Roy! (that was Gabby!)
