Hi everyone,
As some of you may know, I love "The Poseidon Advenure". It is one of my favorite films of all time. I don't know how many times I have watched my old beat up library copy. I know every splice and scratch on that faded print.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVm1dIrRXMM At least there is no stupid useless narration.
I have been trying to find a better copy for some time now. I found my second copy on eBay about five years ago. Not as scratched as my original, more faded and... narrated. I had no idea that Ken had done a pointless narration. I say pointless because the narrator does not tell us what we missed in the edit. He just tell us what is happening as it happens. Anyway, I tried again about six months ago. This one was so faded it was orange.

So, I tried again last week. I had to send it back. It was just as faded as the last.
Instead of buying every copy I see on eBay, I thought I would ask here if anyone has a good copy they would be willing to part with. I am looking for a print that has little fade. I don't think it was ever printed on a low fade stock so I would expect there to be some. No splices, scratches or lines. And, most importantly, no narration.
Please let me know.
Also, if anyone has a decent 16mm print, that would also be nice. I found one last summer on auction but I got outbid. It was somewhat faded and pan & scan. Not a problem since I don't have a 'scope lens on the 16mm projector. It sold for $150.
