My Brother and i are fortunate to own a copy of this film,i do have to say i'm no big fan of e bay but that said i have recently jumped on the band wagon and have sold a couple of films on there. Now this particular film is at a ridiculous price tag. The dealers will sell you a dam good copy of this for around £250-£350 so anyone who pays this amount of dosh for the film has to be a half wit, as i have said before, good luck to the seller if he gets it. Unfortunatly i do appreciate that dealers must make a profit but sometimes some dealers will offer scilly money and then on top of that you have to pay P+P to send them, the biggest advantage of ebay is that postage is charged and covered for. If a dealer offered around £30 for a feature film,(its often less than that), you then have to pay £5-£7 to send it off. Regrettfuly, e bay is seeing a few very greedy people who arnt always as honest in selling as we the collectors are and so many people will and do get caught out. If i turn the table around now and back onto "some" dealers can i ask your thoughts on the BFCC and other events????? My Brother and i are hoping to make Ealing in the Autum but a thought hangs over us, we love to see the usual dealers there, we love to mingle and browse, we enjoy meeting other collecors, What we dont like is when some dealers only go to buy to make there own stocks and profits, bere in mind these are meant to be "collectors" conventions, now i know for a fact that at a recent do at Ealing a dealer purchased an entire lott of bargins from a collector who was selling, and some of the titles were awesome including Alien feature among others, is that a good thing for collectors??? If we had been at that one and were there to witness that we for two collectors would have been well pissed off after a 300 mile day trip, (each way) So when someone is on ebay selling,(all be it a high price) and the dealer is said to be missing out, remember what happens at Ealing when the collectors miss out to "some" dealers who in my opinion should be set up at a stall to support the collector, before we do all vanish to the other side. I've knocked ebay in the past and i still do when there are unscrupulous people on there but all you have to do with these odd ones selling at way over the top is to avoid at all cost.
