Hey guys, I have a few more films listed on ebay, one of which is my Cinevision print of "Ben Hur" 1X400ft version of the digest. I should note that it appears to have an approximate 25 per cent fade. It is puzzling, however, as the leader, (which is the original leader, not splices on) has perfect color, and the two frames of color chart have perfect shades ...
... but once the actual Ben Hur film starts, the color looks faded, but it's not a "pinky" eastman fade, it's the kind where all the colors have faded evenly, so it really doesn't look all that bad. The sky is blue, greens look pale. So it looks as if the actual neg used for Ben Hur was not the best color to begin with. I can definitely vouch for one thing. I swear, this is Derann level sharp. It's miles ahead of the flat 1X400ft digest! I was really struck by that.
So why am I selling it? I just aqquired the full feature in scope stereo. Though I'm fond of the digest, I do need to put some of that back in the bank.
Always honest OSI just giving you the heads up.
