Dear all,

A little backround. In the 70s i worked for a super8mm audio film transfer suite. We would get super8mm prints from Technicolor labs and then record audio to the magnetic strip. The audio was supplied on 16mm full coat magnetic film and inter locked to the super8mm film dubbers.(we could record up to three copies at the same time.most of what we did ended up in long hall fights.Its was super8mm projection then...anyway...

For some reason I have this film made by the british steel corp in the 1970. Its 400 feet in length. Its a public information film. It outlines the wonderful world of steel and what it has done for us. Fantastically made really spent some money on it.shot on 35mm. nice colour and the sound is all there. has one join in it.(Tape splice due to film break). when i ran it it has tram lines and some dirt.

I would like to add what a great forum this is and brings back a lot from the past. Thanks for reading

Hey Tony ...

Anytime that you want to give step by step on how the films were striped and recorded and even (perhaps) tips on getting the best possible sound on your magnetic track, please be more than happy to share the great info with all of us, as you will most certainly have a very captive as well as captivated, audience!
