Too much money for a 400' digest. Considering it's probably not from a reliable original source. No reflection on the present seller if it is you My guess would be it's a pirated print.
I just can't see that kind of money for that size reel.

Its not too much money for the right person. As we have seen with this hobby...$250 for a 400ft print of Alien when there are sooo many around? I passed on a Full Length copy of "Enter the Dragon" Super 8 Scope many moons back. Found out that it was very, very rare and I went for the "Game of Death" instead. Sigh.

I don't know if it's a pirate or not. I definitely have NEVER seen it before. I know another forum member commented that he had the exact Super 8 print as well, English with Dutch Subtitles. Personally I don't think it is, I think it's from a small Dutch Company called Met Ned. Ondertitels. (as the box states)
I paid close to the starting bid for the film myself and after the international fees & hassles and shipping costs I'll be making about eight bucks if it even sells! But if it doesn't sell, I'll just hold on to it. I already have a few UFA KK VS. G Digests and figured someone would enjoy having something as unique as this.
I think Alan is spot on, that it's worth whatever a collector is willing to pay for it. It is in fact a beautiful color print and it is in English and RARE,RARE,RARE so you never know!
I can tell you one things for sure, it aint no DVD digest print!
Anybody else ever seen this print of King Kong VS. Godzilla? (Check the link above)

HI Alan
Would you be interested in the Bruse Lee Film No. 1? This is a behind the scenes reel with the fight scene between Bruce and Chuck Norris. Good color and sound. make me a fair offer and I will ship it free!

The 400' could be a 'Top Film' release as they were a major source of Dutch releases. In fact "Met Ned. Ondertitels" means "With Dutch subtitles"!
