Large 8mm super 8 and 16mm film collection for sale. Includes 20 projectors (eumig, Ampro, Bell & Howell, Chinon, Singer) Large amount of films from MANY home movies, western, science Fiction, Horror, Adult XXX. Editing equipment, transfer unit, screens.... I would like $2500 for complete collection but will accept offers. It will not let me post any photos even though I followed all instructions. Hi Chad, have to see some of the titles on the boxes - There might be 3 I can use, can't buy the whole collection, I'm trying to sell one myself - If you can list the titles

Sadly, it all looks like old school film stuff, so I wouldn't be interested. It doesn't look like it's worth quite that much, I must say. Just my opinion.

Looks quite good to me; large collection of 16mm films, although we don't know what the titles are.

I think if any of us owned a collection of that size, with 20 projectors and editing equipment, screens, etc; we would hope to get a similar price. Only recently members have been saying how precious are films are now they are no longer being made.

Well 16MM "taint" my thing, but they look like mostly old digests which don't tend tend to have that much value to them.

Osi, take a look on your ebay, and ours, and have a look at what
some dealers/collectors are asking for their little 200' b/w slt
clips.

WITHOUT any details if the projectors are working, bulbs are intact, what format (super, standard), Sound or silent projector, films are fade or not, sound or silent movies, scratches, ...and the most important things, the TITLE....

This is a film forum and we are collectors here tend to picky. Remember Chad does not say will let us buy separately. I don't think any of us will throw $2500 (or less) for them.

Sometime we have to be honest....

Winbert is quite right, I am only thinking that if everything is in good order, and the titles are interesting, it could be worth the asking price. The seller should have given full details as no one will buy blind; better to sell the items separately.

I noticed in one picture some hard core: Osi's schooldays sound more interesting than mine. I love 16mm.

Agreed, usually grab bag lots are sold cheap. You buy the lot cheap because, as the owner, you'll be the one sifting through the endless reels to figure out what every thing is. In a lot of a reels where 90% of the films are junk and you find a few good gems, that's when you tell yourself, "phew glad I didn't spend too much on this."

It's like buying a salvage.

Otherwise, it's a big risk.

Also I'm with Osi on value. I won't say that no older prints aren't worth anything. But many 200'-400' films who's subject are 1920's, 1930's Niles or Blackhawk, I usually pick these up for $2-$10 a pop.

I wonder how they were stored? Also many are in metal cans not
good, may be vinegar. Big lots are a gamble

The lads collection appears okay, it's easy to make assumptions on a collection without actually being able to check it out. The boxes
appear to be in good condtion, the machinery seems clean enough. This is no better or worse than ebay.

That's true Hugh, I bought a short 16mm film on Ebay, I don't know where it had been stored but there are, what I can only describe as bleaching on the print and optical sound track. Really it is only fit to be thrown away.
