I have never seen any of his films on super 8 - even out of Germany. His work may have been too "art house" for mainstream release. I would love to have Querelle on super 8 with the late, great Brad Davis. I will never forget seeing that at around 2 in the morning at a film festival when I was in college in London... at the old La Scala theater (a really sketchy place back in 1985). The experience stayed with me to this day and was happy to get the film on Bluray recently. Actually that's the only Fassbinder film I really know, besides the horror movie, Tenderness of the Wolves. But I don't think he really did that much on that particular film. Like a lot of interesting artists, he seemed to have a lot of issues behind the scenes. Is there a film of his you would suggest I see next?
