These do not have the original boxes.

I've responded to everyone who inquired - will get shipping costs together for you all tonight.

Amazingly I had 5 people ask about the "Superman II" print...

One question for the UK crowd -- it would potentially be cheaper if I sent everyone's prints together to one person and then had that person forward the prints to everyone else. If any of you in the UK who have asked about prints want me to look into doing that - let me know.

I am happy to oblige Steven if that suits others.
I would have jumped at SII myself had I have not already got it.

It's an excellent cut down with superb colour and even better if you can find the seperate diner sequence issued also by Derann to splice into it.

I would just like to update the relevant parties involved of the situation regarding the films being sold by Steven that are travelling over here to the UK.

I offered to act as a UK "middle man" so to speak initially, in order to help reduce the overall cost of sending the films over here to the UK.
This is something I have done very successfully recently for Vidar when he was purchasing a film from the UK and wanted it sending over to Norway.

This caused no problems whatsoever due to the fact it was one individual film sent with my own and from another member who was also based in the UK.
Therefore while the films were packaged together they never left the UK and therefore the business of Import duty was non applicable.

In this case however, with the benefit of hindsight,a little thought and a lot of very painful experiences in the past, I come to the conclusion that this arrangement would not benefit anyone.

The reason for this is simply that the combined weight, size and value of all these films being placed together coming to one person here in the UK would make them very much a target for extremely high imposed customs and excise duty.

Sent individually to their respective owners, this very much ought not to be the case but combined it most certainly will.

With this in mind,I have now written to Steven to say that in this particular case this arrangement simply cannot work as any reduction in cost gained by combining the films into one large package, would be completely eradicated by the huge levy that would be placed on these items just as soon as they hit UK soil.

I can only apologize for acting hastily with my suggestion to anyone here in the UK that agreed to this arrangement in principle, though I hasten to add so far nobody has contacted me directly to imply that they would.

Having the parcels sent individually in the manner I have suggested to Steven, should ensure no one pays any duty due to the small individual values of the films involved, and this in turn, will mean a big saving on what otherwise most certainly would.

For any future arrangements where this does benefit all parties involved, I am only too happy to help but in this case, unfortunately I am unable to.

Apologies once again for any disappointment or inconvenience caused to anyone,

Best regards to all
Andrew.

I got hit by customs quite a few years ago now. All 16mm films in one package. The cost of the films was very reasonable I think there were 25 reels all TV shows, on I think 1200ft reels.

The handling charge duty then VAT on top of everything came to more than the films cost. Ripoff UK.

Smaller is better.
