Kevins right, there were a few years of Agfa laminated prestripe stock after the Kodak LPP years( about 1982-1990-ish ) and its good stock and stripe and usually very nice prints.
But if its later Agfa( all Derann Agfa, about 1990 ish to 2001 was polyester ) once the earlier in these years actual Agfa prestripe stoped and Derann had to forumulate thier own paste stripe, a right going on, it can be very troublesome paste sound stripe wise like many disneys etc.Tends to be well slit and well running though still.
Kodak Lpp ( the one to have really ) has eastman LPP etc at the sprocket edge in very small red lettering and the date code as well. The film is obviously polyester and the stripe looks rusty on the playing side and jet black from the other.( Agfa is usually just a lighttle darker brown looking at it from the bonded( non playing ) side if you will.) Kodak LPP is a glued on very relibale laminted prestripe and about the best ever.
There were a few years with agfa paste stripe added by Derann where the prints were Ok, still very nicely printed, slit etc but the stripe was all over and thinner and thicker, etc.
Then came the later kodak non prestriped LPP print years where again they had terrible stripe issues with Drann having to forumlate and experiment with stripe again with very mixed results, its also a less stable running stock or as well split, punched, with more wobble or gate shake if you like even though polyester. Filmgaurd helps.
But these kodak polyester stock and then Derann pasted stripe years ( I think about 2001-20011) were very very paste stripe variable, with it all over a bit even in to the film picture etc, thicker, thinner, hard lumps in that get knocked off by the heads and leave holes, actual holes in anyway and rough as Arse`s ( excuse me ) on your sound heads and plastic guides etc. These prints need to be really well filmguarded or they wear your heads like hell obviously as so rough.
Also prints from this period although usually sharp, did vary quite a bit with change-ing personnel etc at the labs, and some is pribnted quite bluey or a bit darker and worth asking about if a pricey print end of the market.
I suppose with what certain colour prints are commanding these days you really need to know.
I think most prints of the Fugative were done in the decent agfa prestripe days.
We`ve mentioned it before but its worth going over again for newbies etc.
