So...here's the thing!
Having revealed my woes about the 'delightfully pink' lens in my recently acquired immaculate Ampro Futurist, for which I paid the princely sum of £4.50, I am seriously looking for a suitable replacement condenser lens.
The lens is convex on both sides, and measures 22mm in diameter and 11mm thick. Obviously there is some tolerance to these dimensions.
Now that I have discovered how to upload images successfully, there's no stopping me, so here are a few pics of the item in question:

My thanks to Barry Johnson for explaining exactly why the lens turned pink/purple/mauve, or whatever. A friend who is stripping some 8mm machines has said he will keep an eye open for one, but all suggestions and offers are welcome. I really want to get this little beauty up and running properly. It has been thoroughly serviced and is ready to go once a replacement lens can be found.
Otherwise, I shall have to advertise it as a 'ladies projector'.

Valves and celluloid - a great combination! Early technology rules OK!
