I would like one of these machines but at present can't afford it. Obviously seeing Lee's review on YouTube of this projector it's a cracking buy.

That price seem VERY high. If you check out Ebay germany there are 2 of them and one 938. There was a buy it now for the 938 for 135 Euro's and for shipping to us here in the states, Germany is much cheaper than the UK.

You can also find a 938 in France but its in a state. Someone has gone over it with gloss paint. I am sure the price will reflect the condition and the country its coming from and if you want to chance buying outside your own country. I just took delivery of a projector from overseas and it landed here in bits. Beware of buying heavy plastic items from outside your own country.
A little update to this message. Have a good look at the 940 from Germany and you will see it has been badly got at. The lamphouse has been cut about and the focus knob is also not orig. Had a look at the others and a bit of a mish mash of knobs missing and broken cases. Get what ye pay for old bean. Best wishes. Uncle Eumig

I have been very lucky in my purchases overseas..knock on wood! I have received 3 x Bauer T610's, 2 X Leicina Special Cameras, a Nizo 6080 and they all arrived perfectly. Strangely enough the only damaged units I received were from here in the US. I think that if the seller is honest the units are packed even more safely because of the distance the item has to travel. Of the units on Ebay Germany only one looked very bad with all the sliders missing. This one looks good:
Which looks dusty but all the parts seem to be there.
Of course I have never owned one of these machines so I can't tell if all the parts are truly there! Lee, which ones look like they are missing parts? I might bid if they take Paypal. I have always loved the console look of the Eumig Stereo Machines. A Sears catalog here in the US from the 80's had the 926 GL. I loved the look of that one too. Of course once I got that machine I hated it but that's another story..!

My favourite is the 940 Stereo closely followed by the 926, but only because I have converted the 926 to 2 blade shutter which gives a great light output improvement and also attached a Scope bracket to this baby. The problem with ebay is that we are all buying blind. Looking through the 940 & 938’s on auntie ebay they all look rather well used or abused and as I am super fussy for even the slightest scratch I would avoid any machine which hints at a gloss paint re-spray or broken off volume sliders on the mixing desk. OUCH! Must be a name for my condition always striving for the best and before anyone come up with it lets just say I am barmy. He.
I was lucky a few months ago to get a new in the box 926 which had just been in store against a wall for years. Having what amounts to a new machine is a joy for me being a fussy so and so and as always I clean the gate after every screening and keep the mechanism clean along with the lens to assure I get the best for it. We did the Terminator show recently with my “back to back” double feature event and I used the Eumig which did a very good job indeed. All part of the fun isn’t it to come up with special presentation ideas and I am planning the 3D evening at present with a free trip to the optician afterwards when we all come out boss-eyed.
