Howdy,
As much as I'd like to tackle this one, I'm just not qualified. ST-1200HD needs overhaul. I don't have a lot of experience with projectors, but this is what is obvious to me:
- Belts disintegrated, but not melted.
Shutter wheel has corrosion on edge, (cement?), needs polishing. Main drive-nylon pulley cracked-needs replacing. Aluminum capstan-roller for the same polished or replaced. Other aluminum belt pulleys look good. I'm sure there is more to be done, but it looks doable. Will email or post pics on request, or happy to describe whatever.
Thanks in advance,
JBG

Okay, here we go.
The st-1200HD-M has a few cosmetic problems, but nothing really glaring. There are some bubbles under the plexi-nameplate, a scratch on the corner of the same- a few pits in the finish. All of these can be seen in the pics.
Mechanically, the corrosion looks worse after I cleared the belt-debris. The aluminum pulleys as shown will need extensive cleaning, as well as the shutter.
The upper nylon belt-pulley/gear has corrosion behind it as shown.
The nylon double-belt pulley attached to the main motor shaft is cracked and needs replacement, as shown.
If it were me, I'd call this a parts machine, but I think it could be overhauled for use or resale, but certainly wouldn't bring the premium due to the cosmetics and extra labor involved.
So here's a start. I have no idea what the etiquette is from here- If y'all would help me out there... Thanks.
EDIT: It seems silly to upload, (i tried one), 5-6 pics at 200kb I can't see that the detail would be any good.
Can I suggest that you send me a Gmail address or other email that can handle these detail shots 2-3 at a time, I'd be happy to send them to you guys.
Best,
JBG
