Well I bought a Bolex H8 and M8 and some film but think I really want to get into a larger format. Most likely I will go to 16mm as 35mm is just too expensive.

I have only been a member here a short time but have been on eBay for over 8 years under colin.pritchett 596+ / 1- (from a Chinese scammer) I am also on APUG and LFF photography forums for many years. Feel free to call and speak to me in person if you have any questions (907-726-5660)

Bolex H8 (non-reflex) works perfectly, very clean with a bit of chrome peeling on the viewer cold shoes. Comes with external viewer and 10-30mm f2.8 Som Berthiot lens with viewer so you can view through the lens while filming. Comes in hard case with trigger grip and reels. Also comes loaded with Kodachrome 25 and two rolls of Kodachrome 40 and 43mm 85 filter to allow shooting in sun. Filter doesn't fit exactly right but some tape would hold it on. It is 43mm and the threads are a little bigger. The zoom arm attaches to a bushing on the lens, the bushing has a small crack in it but it doesn't affect function, but the crack opens up a little when zoomed in one direction, again nothing that will affect function.

Bolex M8 Projector - Works perfectly, good lamp, lens in beautiful shape. Comes with 400' take up reel and 200' reel that needs adapter and 50' reel. I am also throwing in an Abbott & Costello film, partial film but plenty long to test the projector out. I will also throw in a new 50' roll of Kodak Acetate leader and 50 tape splices.
