Leon Norris are you here. I got 2 business cards from you and I can't find either of them [Eek!]

My rewind motor is making a clicking noise and is quitting after rewinding about 800'. I think it is NG. Numbers are MM4 A 54.12.18.

Thanks

hi Pat,

I was searching in the Forum and found this topic which describes exactly the same problem I'm experiencing now on my GS 1200.

Were you able to fix it? Did you need to replace the motor or simply you had it repaired?

Thanks
Flavio

Hi.Pasquale, It may be the small plastic gear that has broken. Alex

I have some of these gears if you need them, made especially for my gs xenon machine when it went wrong, all brass not the plastic/ nylon like this one.

You have totally remove the plastic gear away from the core. then glue it with superglue (cyanoacrylate). Now you have to enlarge a bit the plastic gear by a rotating cutter. at last glue the gear to the core with the superglue.
It will works perfectly for other 30 years...
