I have been offered a Yelco 810 8mm projector for 50e. The buyers description was good condition with just a broken belt and considered professional for its time. I assume when I test it the lamp should still work despite the broken belt (easily available on eBay). Are Yelco lamps easily available and is there anything else I should look for upon inspection ?

I have a Yelco but another model. The speed was not correct after several years of good service and I had to bring my projector to a repairman so if yours has no belt it will be impossible to check the speed immediately. 50 € is not expensive for this model, if it's working. Lamp should not be difficult to find.

Thanks Dominique
Having being used to the Sankyo 700 I thought this must be quite a bargain. Actually I want to buy the Yelco to test my old 8mm purchases from the 80's. Once again any feedback about the Yelco performance would be appreciated from forum members.
