Tom and Jerry In The Hollywood Bowl - 1950 - Colour - Derann release.
It appears that this is the full title of this delightful musical offering from Tom & Jerry. Tom conducts the all-cat symphony orchestra assisted (?) by Jerry in the Hollywood Bowl amphitheatre. The music is the overture to Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II. Translation: The Flying Mouse, i.e. The Bat. Was this why the musical director, Scott Bradley, chose this piece of music? For this offering he employed a full symphony orchestra for the sound track and it does sound quite superb.
What can I say? It's all top notch with some splendid gags which get better by the minute to the tremendous ending.
Originally TJ30 from Walton Films this print was reissued by Derann and is on Agfa stock which has still excellent colour.

Osi Walton issued 30 Tom & Jerry cartoons but only the first batch of ten were slightly edited due to contractual reasons with MGM. However, due to numerous complaints from buyers the remaining 20 releases were complete. This release was Walton's last, and numbered TJ30.
