Did Elmo put out a scope lens holder for their 16CL machines?, I have one of there 16CLs and have had to construct something out of wood to hold the scope lens, so I am keen to know if there was/is a proper attachment, and if anyone has one they would be keen on parting with! [Big Grin]

I am very impressed with the 16CL and run my most treasured films on it and have had no troubles. [Wink]

Elmo did make a hold which mounts on the front of the projector--didn't sell many and are very hard to find. I've seen a couple but don't have one.

I have an Elmo scope lens for the 16-CL series. The code number on the box is 1280.

The lens is clamped to a greeny/grey bracket which pivots and fits into a sliding assembly which itself attaches to the projector with a locating pin and a screw which has a long knurled black tightening knob. It swings towards the operator (away from the backing lens) for 4 x 3 projection.

The lens focusses from 2 metres to infinity.

I have the original Elmo lens holder and the a-ma-zing ElmoScope II scope lens. Works great if you're using the zoom complement on the 50mm or the 38mm. Works even better if you attach the anamorphic to the primer. As both the scope lens and the primers are quite short in length, the assay isn't too heavy and remains straight through the optical axis.
You can also attach it to the 20mm but, IMHO, the resulting optical is too long and too heavy for the original projector sleeve.

Thanks for the infomation gents, most scope attachments I have seen here on people's elmos are home made jobs from a swinging out holder like the Eikis to a threaded ended attachment on the front of the normal projection lens that the scope lens screws into to make one long lens setup.
