Hi,

I'm still new to all this film projection material and have a question. This question might sound stupid, but I'm still learning [Wink] If I am running a feature length film, is there any possible chance that a frame could be burnt from a hot lamp? I saw it happen last night when I kept it on a frame for a few seconds (I know you are NOT supposed to do that, but I was testing my telecine transfer ability.)

Thanks,
Brannon

Yes I'm afraid that burning frames in your films is not to be
recommended Brannon, unless of course there is a still frame button on your projector,in which case a heat filter will drop in
place to protect your film, but I would'nt leave it any more than a
few seconds because lamps are hot and film is a delicate thing
in those circumstances.
