Hi all,

just when I was starting to doubt that digital might be superior to film after all, I came upon an awesome dealie that goes by the moniker "color temperature". Turns out this feature adds depth and goes in increasing order from tungsten to halogen to xenon. Just wanted to attest this to anyone who might be reading this and hasn't, like me, heard of it before. That having been said, I'll get back to purring my baby and apologizing to her for ever having doubted her lol!!!

Best,
ET

I have noticed a difference when using my ELMO's with helogen lamps and Fumeo with MARC lamp.

I love the smell of film in the morning.

MARC 300 | MARC 350 | Gemini (smaller version of the Marc 350)

Those are all small Mercury Vapor Arc Lamps. They were primarily used in some of the top end Bell & Howell projectors. They produced a very bright white light in the same space as a halogen bulb, but the bulbs had very short lives. The color temperature is different from xenon arc bulbs.
