Dave, as there is an 100 £ p. & p. to Belgium mentionned, I wanted to see where the Tracy island is. I found that : "Tracy Island is the home of the Tracy family in the Gerry and Sylvia Anderson 1960s television series Thunderbirds. Located in the South Pacific Ocean, the heavily camouflaged island's ulterior function is to serve as the secret base of the International Rescue organisation." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracy_Island Maybe that explains the high amounts asked [Big Grin]

I think you meant 'moron' but the definition of maroon is a person stranded on an island! Tracy Island perhaps. Let's hope so.

Thanks, Terry, that makes things clearer. I looked for the translation of "maroon" and found that is was a colour (bordeaux), an explosive (pétard) or, as a verb, leaving (abandonner) someone on a desert island or an isolated place. So I was a little bit puzzled [Wink] Why did they try to build the Babel tower ?

Whenever Bugs Bunny says..."what a maroon"....he is really saying...."what a moron"....

So when I read Tom's comment I instantly thought...moron!

I don't know how they transleted that in French (cartoons are, except Tex Avry, dubbed) but here is a gift for the French members of this forum (no interest for the others, I'm afraid) : Bugs Bunny with the Belgian accent https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cZmQXcyMEY

Shouldn't that be 'correctomundo' - or is that another Bugs Bunny euphemism?
Are you sure you're not trying to wind me up lol.???
