Hello,
in the end, I received the Muray 16 mm with arms.
I wanted to ask some advice:

1) The frame seems centered. But if I needed the function of frame centering, where is it? Where on this editor viewer?

2) What is this little wheel?

3) The part circled in red seems a clutch (friction) function. So it is?

The parts in the black circle, that is the lever for rewind, enters and exits moves horizontally, toward the editor and the opposite side of the editor. It also is a function of friction? It seems that moving the rewind hardening

4) These two pieces have come out of the pack where the editor, but more than pieces of the editor seem bases of broken bulbs or fuse. Confirm?

1)2)It seems that the wheel adjust the frame centering, with a movement of frame both vertically and horizontally.

3) It seems both functions regulate the friction, but I found that one of the two screws at the top is broken, and the other is checked. Do you know where I can find more suitable to replace them?

4) Doubt remains

The bulb is called a 'Festoon' and it has to be 24volt. You can buy these from Grahame Newnham, Calmore, Nr. Southampton. But you should be able to get them closer to home I'm sure. As for the the screws on top of the arms, you are correct, they are for tensioning the film as you wind. Unless you are lucky enough to find someone on the Forum that can supply them, you may have to buy a set of arms being sold for spares or repair.
The wheel on the side of the viewer is for centering the the picture but it is not very efficient for framing. There should be no need for framing really.

Right on the site of Graham I found a little manual of my editor viewer, it describes both the bulb, principal and festoon (called "ceiling type") 24 volt, 5 watt, 42mm lenght.
Do you think I can find the festoon bulb in the current electronics stores in my city? I have seen on various sites that there are those with little led, of course, with the same voltage. Can be fine?

As for the tensio screws: I'm looking around to see if I can find the same, or, as you say, some of the same arms for spare parts.
But, if I find anything, it's OK if I use the arms of the other brands? They would be incompatible with this Muray? I could screw them in line with the editor, on his wooden platform?

I think if the LED bulb is 24v it will be ok, (if it fits?) Any rewind arms will be ok so long as they are for the same guage of film as the editor but may not work quite as well if they don't have a tensioning device. If they don't have a tensioning device you can always just place your hand gently on the feed spool which will have the same effect.

Do you know if the winding arms included in the 8mm version of same Muray case kit, as one of the ebay ad below, are the same of 16mm version, and it only changes with the adapters round or square for reels?
I have already the two adapters for 16mm reels.

I m fairly sure they are the same. I think if you already have the 16mm adaptors then they will be fine.

Thank you, Terry, I'll try to find the appropriate rewinders arms. If you have any tips on strong and spacious rewinder arms to 16 mm for it's good.

Meanwhile I found the festoon online (none in my towni) 24v 5w 42mm.
I would also pricipal bulb BA15S 25-25v 25w 1amp, but in various shop it's a bit 'expensive, if there was a store that has a lower price would not hurt.

Any 16mm rewinds will be good (Premier/Zeiss etc are good makes) but really most 16 rewinds will do the job.
The main bulbs are very rare now and if you can find them they will be expensive.

I noticed another thing: in my editor "miss" what appears to be a pressure or a light concentrator, this circled in red:

But I have not encountered problems, the image does not seem out of focus or unstable, perhaps the piece only served to make the light "square", I do not know, but in my model I did not find signs of screws (the ones in the blue circle, there is not on my model, there is not even the little "step" to insert the pressure, and is also different form of light on my Muray), probably not ever, perhaps my model is older. What do you think?

there isn't, maybe it was a subsequent improvement, in subsequent models.

I do not have that piece fitted to my editor either, but it is not really necessary. It is a facility for marking a particular picture frame/film section that you require to edit/splice.
I have modified my editor so that it uses a 24v 20w halogen bulb, which are easy to buy and very cheap. It is plenty bright enough too. It is not that difficult to do. All you need is a 2 pin bulb holder like in the photo, which you should be able to buy from a local hardware store. You will need slightly longer screws to hold it in place. If you are handy with a soldering iron the rest is easy.

Ah, it is a marker for the film, so he has the tip and press button, I understand, I have it on Super8/8mm editor viewer and also on the 9,5mm editor.
I thought it was a pressure, but no, then it is not needed, I also use a grease pencil to mark my film.

I'm interested in the change of the light holder, it is the same as mentioned Grahame Newnham on their site?
