Hi, i have two eiki st/m projectors and one seems to run slightly faster than the other, while its not a major problem its a bit annoying. Both machines are set at 24fpm and with the same 15 min film one plays it about a min faster than the other and every now and again you notice the voice tones seem a bit high on the faster one so i would assume the slower one is running at the correct speed as they sound ok.Is there any way to slightly adjust the motor speed?.Could it be something to do with the motor belt thickness?.

+- 1-2% speed error would be totally common, but not in this case (6.7% fast? [Roll Eyes] ). That is still however not enough for 50/60 Hz issue.
So yes,if it's me I'd try the simplest solution by swapping the belt first. The next suspect would be the motor pulley itself.

BTW if you can somehow find a tachometer to check the actual motor speed, that would give a lot more hints to this problem. [Razz]

My suggestion is to replace the motor belt in each projector bought from the same source.

try a new motor capacitor as they effect the motor speed and power greatly
