I've just had a 2-reel 16mm feature delivered by Yodel. It came in a 2000ft 35mm can over 15" in diameter. It was left on my doorstep. I checked later on the firm's tracking website and was astonished to read the following under delivery details:- Your parcel has been delivered through your letterbox. Whilst I do have a fairly large modern letterbox the comment is ridiculous. Have any UK members had similar treatment from Yodel?

I've had very bad issues with postal companies in the past, but as regards price I've found the standard UK royal mail to be more costly than any of them.

Allan You get what you pay for. I am always pleased when I know that Parcelforce have been booked to deliver a newly bought 16mm feature film.

I had something non filmie delivered on Wednesday, well left at the PO but no note.
I wondered where it had got too so looked at the ebay tracking, and it said advised to collect at the PO, but it wasn`t there when I called yesterday, but actually left at the post office in the next village, PF, but they are OK.
Its the ones who leave films etc on the doorstep in the rain I struggle with.

Would anyone really send a film without a waterproof wrapper? I certainly would not, but I suppose a non film buff would not realise what damage water can do to a film.

Terry - they certainly would. I'd estimate that over 95% of the films I've received over decades have not had waterproof wrappers. And I've never received a film that's damp or wet.

I dont know what is going on with coriour services latley. I ordered a short film from chc two weeks ago today and as yet it hasnt shown up. Phil did confirm ift was swnt twoo weeks ago, I can only hope somewhere along the line that it either makes its way back to phil or somehow appears at my place.28 Even the likes of yodel and hermes who charge extra to obtain a sinature as proof its been delivered and they leave it undwr bushes in bins and on doorsteps.in view for anyone to steel. To me this is a rip off as there charging you for a service we'r not gettin. Your payin 80p extra for a scribble your not gettin so how much extra are those o Cmpanies making with all those 80ps.
