whats a reasonable price to expect to pay for some rewind arms? and will 16mm ones work with 8mm/super 8 too? (or need some sort of adapter?)

If you are looking for rewinds for 16mm,Super8/Std8 and even 9.5mm, then Muray is your best option. They made adaptors for all, but unfortunately it is very rare to find a set that comes with all, or even some, of the adaptors. If you were lucky enough to find such a set they would most likely be pricey.
You would probably be better off to buy dedicated rewinds for each gauge. Plastic adaptors for Super 8 are cheap and fairly easy to get, so they can be used on Standard 8 rewinds I would guess.
