Thanks Pat
Do you think we should do one at Rangiora even the Hollywood would be great to get. Its not till the years have passed and places and people have changed that the importance of making the effort to capture those moments on film or DVD becomes important I guess that goes for most things, working in a cinema the last 8 years has certainly been an interesting experience and sometimes it does comes across like "The Smallest Show On Earth" but have enjoyed it and hope it continues for a while longer yet.

Graham,
Very nice-looking work there; as a broadcast video shooter by trade and a cinema history buff, I'd love to see the final product.
My suggestion would be to do as many, varied theatres as you can; history has a way of ending when we don't look, and keeping the 'real way' alive for future generations is one important thing someone like yourself can do, while you have access to the theatres.
Who is the young man? He looks Asian of origin, or am I mistaken?

Claus.

You are more than welcome to come out to THE REGENT and make a video, I am getting the new pair of projectors put in in the main theatre so you could video the re-opening of that! carbon arcs with changeovers is the way to go! [Big Grin]
Hollywood Cinema would great as well, as in a few years time they may no longer exist.....
