i know recently Amazon increased their minimum spend to £20 to qualify for free delivery. on a recent order i placed with them which gave me free delivery, they have for some reason taken a long time in despatching items even though all items are in stock. they have changed the date of despatch 3 times now.and have displayed despatching now for the past 15 hours. i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced delays on saver delivery orders with them recently. my thoughts are they are holding back orders on free postage.

Could very well be the case Paul? I ordered "Gentleman Prefer Blondes" on Blu Ray from them last month and it arrived inside 5 working days but I cannot instantly recall if it was offered with free postage or not unfortunately.

i have telephoned customer services twice. all i get is a bog standard reply. not one of them could tell me why it was taking so long. i have never had problems before. i have always had an order sent 1 or 2 days at latest. and always recieved within 5 days. i have had orders from Amazon germany and Amazon america quicker than this.i know the company has been under paying tax for years and is now having to pay more. just makes me wonder if they are cutting back on costs. they could loose a lot of customers if they are. i see HMV is now back with online ordering and free 1st class delivery on orders over £10.

I waited over a week for an item to be delivered,in the end they sent out another item, as it either got lost or was never posted, they then went on to say that I should get in touch with my local sorting office, but I told them I receive other deliveries from other dealers with no problem...
