So, who apart from myself will be turning up at the LAST EVER BFCC at Ealing next Saturday? It would be good to say hello to fellow members at the customary get-together at lunchtime.
I expect everyone here knows this, but in case anyone doesn't, the attendance will determine whether the BFCC continues at a new venue next year - so it's vital that everyone in south east England attends, and why not encourage non-forum friends too. We must 'use it' and not 'lose it'!

Film collecting forum members (from both forums!) to meet in the projection area at lunchtime. I've already purchased a 3 litre bottle of scrumpy as usual!
Remember, this could be the last BFCC, so just in case, let's try to make it a memorable one. Fingers crossed there's still enough interest to switch the new venue and that turns out alright.

Can anyone tell me how can I find the shortest way from Heathrow airport? Is there a train, bus or must I take a taxi? Oemer

According to Transport For London, there is no service on the Picadilly line this weekend between Hammersmith and Northfields/Ealing Common. As the route from Heathrow to Ealing Broadway passes through Northfields, South Ealing and Ealing Common, it can't be done I'm afraid.

The District Line is also down between West Kensington and Ealing Broadway, just to add to the misery. There are replacement bus services for all closed routes, but as always if you wanted to take a bus you wouldn't necessarily be at a tube station! The Central line is ok at least from Liverpool Street to Ealing Broadway, so that's me sorted then. Heh heh.

Doesn't the Heathrow Express overground train stop at Ealing Broadway? If not, take it all the way in to Paddington and then get the Ealing Broadway train back out (generally platforms 14 to 16). But be aware, trains in Britain are priced out of the range of the average mortal... Tiv of course, is not the average mortal!

You're correct John. I quite forgot. The Heathrow Express will indeed get you direct to Ealing Broadway. I normally hop on it myself from Ealing Broadway to West Ealing when I'm visiting Keith, as I'm too lazy to walk!
