I have just received a film in the well-known blue Tuscan can, or, I thought it was until I saw it had on it "Australian Reel Co.Pty.Ltd." and "Australian Made" complete with a boomerang!
Chicken or the egg? Which came first?
Did the Australian Reel Company get bought out by Tuscan, or did the Australian company perhaps manufacture under licence?

A very big player here in NZ at least with their blue reels/cans, also have here ALOT of Aussie made 35mm reels and cans/carry cases, Here in NZ we used to make our own reels/cans, I just cant remember the make of them now ANZEL I think was the brand.

Patrick Do I read from your reply that the Australian Reel Company are still in business? Are Tuscan spools/cans available in your part of the world?
